History

Acomb Hockey Club was formed in 1968 with the amalgamation of the former Phoenix Hockey Club and York Spartans Hockey Club.

The club became a sports section of Acomb Sports Club, which continues now, sharing home ground and clubhouse with Acomb Cricket Club and formerly Acomb Tennis Club.
